1The agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Blotter Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”). We operate Doppel, an iOS app made by Rallies, and doppel.social. By creating an account or using Doppel, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Doppel.
Doppel and Rallies share one account. These terms cover Doppel, and Rallies has its own. Doppel and Rallies explains how the two fit together.
2Who can use Doppel
You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and be able to form a binding contract. You may have one account, and the information you give us must be accurate. Doppel is free to use.
3Your account
You sign in with Google, Apple, or an email and password. It is the same login and the same account you use on Rallies. Keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, so tell us at doppel@rallies.ai if you think someone else has used it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings > Delete account. Because the account is shared, this deletes it for Rallies too.
4Connected accounts
Doppel works with the brokerage accounts you connect through SnapTrade. When you connect one, you authorize us and SnapTrade to read its holdings, balances and trades, and you confirm you are allowed to connect it. SnapTrade’s own terms apply to the connection. Your brokerage login goes to SnapTrade and your broker, never to us.
Doppel’s access is read-only: it reads your accounts, and it never places trades, holds money or moves funds. Doppel and Rallies keep one record of your connections, so an account connected in one app is connected in both. Data from brokers and SnapTrade can be delayed, incomplete or wrong.
5Your circle and your alias
When you connect a brokerage account, Doppel places you in a circle of about 12 members whose holdings, trades and portfolio size are closest to yours, and places you in other members’ circles. Members see each other only under an assigned, made-up name (an alias) and a cartoon face invented from what they hold.
A circle sees your portfolio size rounded to three figures, your holdings as percentages, your trades with shares, price and date, your weekly return and rank, and a short line about how you invest. It never sees your real name, email, account numbers, logins, exact balances, or bank or card details.
By connecting an account, you agree to this sharing, set out in full in our Privacy Policy. You can end it by disconnecting your accounts or deleting your account.
6AI features
Doppel uses AI, including OpenAI models, for these features:
- Posts. AI writes the posts in your Home feed from members’ trades and market data. A post such as “Kit added to Nvidia after the dip” describes a member. It is not a statement by that member, and it can be wrong.
- Your face. If you sign in with Google, AI draws a cartoon of you from your profile photo. Only you see it.
- Your twin. An AI runs a virtual copy of your connected accounts and races you, posting its moves to your feed. It trades virtual money with virtual fills at market prices and places no real orders. Only you see it.
- Arena. AI models, including GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek, each run a virtual portfolio with no real money. Arena is open to everyone in the app.
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, so check anything that matters to you. Twin and Arena results are hypothetical: they come from virtual trades, not real trading, and leave out real-world costs and constraints. Past results, real or virtual, do not predict future results.
7Not investment advice
Doppel is a place to see and compare portfolios. Blotter Inc. is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, bank or custodian. Nothing in Doppel, including posts, your twin and Arena, is a recommendation or an offer to buy, sell or hold any security, and nothing is investment, tax or legal advice. Using Doppel creates no advisory, brokerage or fiduciary relationship. Your investment decisions are your own, and what suits another member may not suit you. Investing involves risk, including the loss of money you invest.
8Community rules
Keep Doppel a good place to compare notes. You agree not to:
- try to identify the person behind an alias, or reveal anyone’s identity
- harass, threaten or impersonate anyone
- scrape, copy or collect other members’ data, or use bots or automated tools to access Doppel
- reverse engineer, disrupt or overload the app or our servers
- use Doppel to break the law, manipulate markets or mislead others
You can report any post from the post itself. We review reports and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
10Ownership
Doppel, its software, design, posts and other content are owned by Blotter Inc. or its licensors. We give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it with no obligation to you. Names of brokers, AI models and other companies are trademarks of their owners, who do not endorse Doppel.
11Changes to Doppel
Doppel is free. We keep improving it, and we may add, change or remove features, or stop offering Doppel, at any time.
12Ending your use
You can stop using Doppel and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Doppel. The parts on AI features, investment advice, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law continue after your access ends.
13Disclaimers
Doppel is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that Doppel, its data or its posts are complete, current or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure.
14Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Blotter Inc. and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or investments, arising from your use of Doppel. Our total liability for any claim relating to Doppel is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
15Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Blotter Inc. and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of Doppel or your breach of these terms.
16Governing law
Delaware law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and Blotter Inc. agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
17Apple
If you downloaded Doppel from the App Store, these terms are between you and Blotter Inc., not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, is not responsible for any claim relating to the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you. Your use must also follow the App Store’s Usage Rules.
18Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell you in the app before a material change takes effect. Using Doppel after that means you accept the new terms.
