Privacy Policy

What Doppel collects, what your circle sees, and your choices.

Updated October 15, 2026

1Who we are

Blotter Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”), operates Doppel, an iOS app made by Rallies, and doppel.social. This policy explains what we collect when you use Doppel, how we use it, who sees it, and your choices.

Doppel and Rallies share one account and one record of connected brokerage accounts. This policy covers Doppel, and Rallies has its own. Doppel and Rallies explains how the two fit together.

2What we collect

  • Account: your name and email address, and the identifiers Google or Apple send when you sign in. If you sign in with email, your email address and the password you set. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we receive a relay address.
  • Profile photo: if you sign in with Google, your Google profile photo, which we use to draw your own cartoon face.
  • Connected account data: for the brokerage accounts you connect through SnapTrade, their holdings, balances and trades, and account names and types. Your brokerage login goes to SnapTrade and your broker, never to us.
  • Community data: your alias and circle face, the circles you belong to, posts written about your activity, and posts you report.
  • Twin data: your twin’s virtual portfolio, its virtual trades and its posts.
  • Support messages: what you send us.
  • Technical data: device type, app version, IP address and server logs, which keep the service running and secure.

Posts you love or save stay on your phone.

3How we use it

  • Run Doppel: sign you in, read your connected accounts and show your portfolio.
  • Build circles and show your activity to them under your alias, as set out in What your circle sees.
  • Write posts, weekly standings and comparisons, run your twin and draw your face, with AI, as set out in AI and OpenAI.
  • Review reports, keep the community safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure the service.
  • Answer support requests and tell you about changes to Doppel or these policies.
  • Meet legal obligations.

4What your circle sees

Doppel places you in a circle of about 12 members whose holdings, trades and portfolio size are closest to yours, and places you in other members’ circles. Circles update as portfolios change.

Members see you only under an alias, a made-up name we assign, and a cartoon face invented from what you hold. Neither comes from your real name or any photo of you. Members whose circle includes you can see:

  • your portfolio size, rounded to three figures, such as $647K
  • your holdings, as percentages of your portfolio
  • your trades: the name, number of shares, price and date
  • your weekly return and your rank in the circle
  • a short line describing how you invest
  • posts about your trades and your week

They never see your real name, email address, account numbers, logins, exact balances, or bank or card details. Members can share a picture of a post outside Doppel, and it shows your alias and face only.

An alias keeps your name out of Doppel, but someone who knows your portfolio well could still recognize you from your holdings and trades. We treat everything your circle sees as personal information.

Because Doppel and Rallies share one account, a brokerage account you connected on Rallies is connected in Doppel too, and your activity may appear in circles under your alias.

5AI and OpenAI

Doppel uses OpenAI models for three features:

  • Posts. AI writes the posts in the Home feed from members’ trades and market data. We send OpenAI holdings, trades and market data under aliases, never your real name or email. Posts are written by Doppel, not by the members they describe, and can be wrong.
  • Your twin. An AI runs a virtual copy of your connected accounts that only you see. We send OpenAI your holdings, trades and market data for it.
  • Your face. If you sign in with Google, we send your Google profile photo to OpenAI’s image model, which draws a cartoon of you. Only you see it.

OpenAI processes this data for us under its API terms, which by default keep it from training its models on that data.

6Who we share it with

  • Members whose circles include you, under your alias, as set out in What your circle sees.
  • Service providers that run parts of Doppel for us: SnapTrade for brokerage connections, OpenAI for posts, twins and faces, Google and Apple for sign-in, and our cloud hosting provider for servers and storage. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
  • Rallies, which we also operate: your account and connected brokerage accounts are the same in both apps.
  • Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our members, the public or us.
  • A buyer or successor, as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under this policy.
  • Anyone else, with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Questions go to doppel@rallies.ai.

7How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open and as long as we need it to run Doppel. Server logs are kept for a shorter time. We may keep some information longer when the law requires it, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.

8Leaving and deleting your account

Disconnecting. To stop sharing new activity, disconnect your brokerage accounts in the You tab. We stop reading them and adding your new activity, and you leave circles when they next update. Doppel and Rallies keep one record of your connections, so this disconnects them in Rallies too. Posts written before then stay in other members’ feeds unless you ask us to remove them.

Deleting. Delete your account in the app under Settings > Delete account. Because Doppel and Rallies share one account, this deletes your Rallies account too. We stop reading your connected accounts and remove you from every circle when circles next update. To have posts already written about you removed from other members’ feeds, along with your alias and face, email doppel@rallies.ai and we will remove them.

9Your choices and rights

You can:

  • disconnect your brokerage accounts or delete your account at any time
  • report any post, which hides it from your feed and sends it to our team for review
  • ask for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have rights to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. Using these rights never changes how we treat you. Send requests to doppel@rallies.ai, and we may need to verify your identity first.

10Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us.

11Children

Doppel is only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12Where information is processed

Doppel is offered in the United States, and we process and store information there.

13Changes to this policy

We will post any change here with a new date. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

14Contact

Email doppel@rallies.ai with any question about this policy or your information.

Using Doppel is also subject to our Terms of Service.
